5 Reasons To Use a Travel Agent for Your Disney Trip
Planning a Disney trip is no joke. Before I knew that there was such a thing as travel agencies who specialize in Disney who will plan your whole trip for free and won’t charge you anything extra, I planned my first Disney trip all by myself. I was VERY pregnant and wanted to give my oldest daughter a magical experience before she became dethroned by her little sister. The trip was magical; the planning, not so much. I am pretty sure that I spent more time planning that vacation than I actually spent on the vacation. We had an incredibly magical time and that was really the start of my love for Disney, seeing it through the eyes of my child, who truly believed she was a princess. I planned my second trip using a travel agent specializing in Disney and was blown away by how much easier it was! I have clearly come a long way since then having myself become a travel agent for the past four years, then opening my own agency and have taken countless trips to Disney and planned hundreds of trips to Disney since then.
Now I’m going to share with you what I wish I knew while planning my first Disney trip!
1. It is FREE to use a travel planner: When you book your Disney vacation (this post is going to specialize in Walt Disney World because it requires the most planning but we book ALL Disney destinations) with a World of Wonder Travel Agent, our planning services are FREE. You will be paying the exact same price as you would if you booked it directly but get all our help and expertise for free.
2. You can sleep in!: If you have ever booked a trip to Disney World before, you know that there is a lot you have to do BEFORE you go to Disney and those things are early in the morning. Dining reservations are made at 6AM EST. Your World of Wonder Travel Planner will happily set their alarms while you sleep in and by the time you wake up, you will magically have your plans done. Are you someone who LIKES to do this? No problem! You are welcome to do it yourself too!
3. We KNOW Disney: Not only have we completed Disney’s College of Knowledge, but we have also been to Disney a LOT. Our job is to keep up with all the latest and greatest at Disney, which is constantly changing! We are here to answer every question that you have, however silly it may be, about your Disney vacation. While we know most every answer, if we don’t know the answer, we are always happy to find out!
4. ONE Contact: When you call a big company, we all know how it goes. The recording starts that says “Press 1 for this, 2 for this” and if you’re anything like me you just keep pressing “0” hoping that SOMEONE will answer and that someone will have the answers you need. We pride ourselves in being able to be your one contact. There will be no long hold times. No messages left without response. You will be provided several ways of contacting your travel planner and they will get back to you!
5. Save Money! I know I told you in number one that it doesn’t cost you anything to use a travel planner, but did you know that it can actually save you money? Along with keeping up with everything new at Disney, we also keep track of all the promotions that are offered. This means that if you book your trip with us we are constantly monitoring your reservation to see if a better price is out there! If a promotion becomes available, we will automatically apply it and let you know your savings! When you book directly with Disney, YOU have to constantly monitor your reservation and call in to make the changes (which often comes with hours of hold times!).
There are many other reasons why using a travel planner makes sense and I could go on for days on ways I have saved my clients time and money and enhanced their experience, but I will let you judge for yourself!
